Great Question courses are designed to be accessible for everyone.
If you have accessibility questions that are not answered on this page, contact zoe@greatquestion.com.au.
We use Zoom whenever possible.
If your team can’t access Zoom, we can use an alternative such as Teams.
If possible, participants should download and install the Zoom client. It is possible to use breakout groups in the browser, but fewer problems tend to pop up when everyone uses the client.

We use Mural whenever possible.
You do not need to download software or make an account to use Mural.
You do not need to learn anything about Mural before the session. We will start with training on how to use Mural. Links to a range of pre-prepared Mural boards will be provided during the session.

Mural has limited keyboard accessibility, and is not WCAG 2.1 compliant. I have not yet been able to find fully accessible whiteboarding software.
If keyboard access is important to you, contact me and I’ll find a way to make the sessions work for you.
Great Question courses use a combination of presented content and activities.
All slides use simple fonts and large text with high colour contrast.
To assist with language processing, automatic transcription (using otter.ai) is available on request.
While we avoid figurative language, sometimes stories are used as examples of broader themes. When explanatory diagrams or pictures are used, they will be described verbally.
There are no animations in the slides. Some courses include video content, which includes subtitles/captions whenever available.
Activities may include:
The trainer may ask participants to report back to the group after small group activities. If you do not wish to report back, you can let the trainer know before the session, or during the session in a private message.
There is one 10 minute break per online session. You are welcome to take a break at any time, but please let your trainer know you have left the room.
If you would prefer more scheduled breaks, contact zoe@greatquestion.com.au before the session.
Research has consistently shown that online learning is different to face-to-face learning.
In order to avoid cognitive fatigue, the online versions of Great Question online courses:
Courses longer than 3 hours are spread across 2 days to minimise fatigue.
All Great Question courses are written in collaboration with the organisations that commission them.
When you commission a Great Question course, your organisation only pays for the development time. The first run of the course (the 'pilot') is free - and we will give you a copy of the course for your own use.
