Great Question courses are designed to be accessible for everyone.
If you have accessibility questions that are not answered on this page, contact zoe@greatquestion.com.au.
Great Question courses use a combination of presented content and activities.
All slides use simple fonts and large text with high colour contrast.
Slides are presented on a large screen and explained in detail by the presenter.
To assist with language processing, automatic transcription (using otter.ai) is available on request.
While we avoid figurative language, sometimes stories are used as examples of broader themes. When explanatory diagrams or pictures are used, they will be described verbally.
There are no animations in the slides. Some courses include video content, which includes subtitles/captions whenever available.
Activities may include:
The trainer may ask participants to report back to the group after small group activities. If you do not wish to report back, you can let the trainer know before the session. Alternatively, if you choose not to report back during the session, you will not be asked to do so again.
For all-day coursese, there are three scheduled breaks:
Participants are welcome to take a break at any time, or if you would prefer more scheduled breaks, contact zoe@greatquestion.com.au.
Whenever they are required, Great Question will supply:
All participants should bring a mobile phone to the course.
In-person courses often use polls conducted by phone, and participants are encouraged to take photos of course content. Feel free to share your photos.
Laptops are not required unless there is a specific need for them.
If laptops are required for a course, we will let you know.
Food is provided at all face-to-face courses.
For all-day courses, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea are all provided.
For shorter courses, food will be provided based on the time of day.
A vegetarian option will always be available.
Before the session, we will send a survey to participants so that people with specific food needs can eat the food that suits them.
Great Question courses are usually hosted by the organisation.
If you have specific accessibility requirements in the venue, contact us and we will make sure they are met.
For all questions about face-to-face accessibility, contact zoe@greatquestion.com.au.
All Great Question courses are written in collaboration with the organisations that commission them.
When you commission a Great Question course, your organisation only pays for the development time. The first run of the course (the 'pilot') is free - and we will give you a copy of the course for your own use.
If you or your team have a specific training need, get in touch – we may be able to help!
